Evaluation:The Isolated Systems Energy Efficiency program has been offered in 42 remote communities, installed 48,171 energy efficient products in 279 businesses and 3,591 homes, and saved 4.095 GWh of electricity. The average customer satisfaction rating was 4.43/5. Overall, the program has been very successful. It has increased local knowledge on energy efficiency and provided employment for over 30 local residents. (as of 27/01/2016)
Description:

Launched in 2012, the objective of this program is to provide outreach, education and energy efficient products to the home and business owners in the 42 remote diesel-system communities across Newfoundland and Labrador, free of charge. The program's representatives worked in their own communities to promote the program, provide useful information on energy use, and install energy efficient products in homes and businesses including low-flow showerheads and aerators, LED lamps, compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), smart power strips, and hot water tank and pipe insulation.
