Funding:The ENERGY STAR for New Homes program is funded under the ecoENERGY Efficiency initiative, which has been allocated CAD 195 million in federal funding over five years (fiscal year 2011/2012 to fiscal year 2015/2016).
Energy Efficiency Description:

Energy Efficiency label for new low-rise homes that indicates an energy performance 20% better than a home built to code. This program brings energy efficiency to a mass market and paves the way for energy efficiency requirements in the building code.
