Description:

As of the first of February 2013, companies can apply for an ecological investment subsidy (EP PLUS) for investments included on a limitative list with eligible technologies. The subsidy amount is determined by the type of investment (environment, energy consumption, renewable energy, combined heat and power), the efficiency of the technology, the size of the company and the eligibility for a bonus (company has an environment management system ...). In addition to EP PLUS, companies can also apply for strategic ecological investment support as of the 20th of December 2012 for investments in strategic green high-tech solutions. Because of their nature, these strategic investments are not included on the limitative list with eligible technologies for EP PLUS.

Amended:

Between 29/10/2004 and 16/05/2007, companies could apply for an ecological investment subsidy for investments included on a limitative list with eligible technologies. Starting in October 2007 this old system was replaced by a new call-system.

This call-system granted an investment subsidy or ecology bonus to sustainable investments was established, depending on the size of the company. The system provides 40% of additional costs for SMEs, and 20% for large enterprises. These percentages where subject to changes during the years. The call-system was in operation until the 31st of January 2011.
