Each EU Member State is responsible for transposing EU Directives into national law and ensuring compliance with the law. EU Mandatory Labeling and Eco-labeling Directives Member States have the responsibility (in addition to transposition and compliance) to ensure that the labelling schemes are accompanied by educational and promotional information campaigns aimed at encouraging more responsible use of energy by private customers.
