Energy Efficiency Description:

The AUD 200 million Community Energy Efficiency Program will provide matched funding through competitive grants to local governing bodies and non-profit community organisations to undertake energy efficiency upgrades to council or community-use buildings, facilities and sites.

The objectives of the Community Energy Efficiency Program are to:

  1. support a range of local councils and community organisations to improve the energy efficiency of different types of non residential council and community use buildings, facilities and lighting; and 
  2. demonstrate and encourage the adoption of improved energy management practices within councils, organisations and the broader community
