Executive Director meets with Australian Prime Minister

While in Antalya, Turkey, for the G20 Leaders' Summit, IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol met with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. Australia's Finance Minister, Senator Mathias Cormann, and other senior Australian officials also joined the meeting.
Talks focused on the Executive Director's vision to modernise the IEA, in particular building new ties with emerging countries, prospects for energy markets in Asia and global energy security issues.
Prime Minister Turnbull acknowledged being an avid and long-time reader of the IEA's flagship World Energy Outlook publication.
