IEA Presents Energy Technology Perspectives in India

The India launch of the IEA publication Energy Technology Perspective 2010 took place on 3 September with support from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency and the Central Electricity Authority, both under the Ministry of Power.
IEA Executive Director Mr Tanaka (left) delivered a keynote speech with a special focus on regional analysis on the US, China and India. The Secretary of the Ministry of Power, Shri P. Uma Shankar (right) made an opening speech affirming India’s interest to continue working with the IEA towards the next edition of the book. Two additional ETP working papers on the power and industry sector in India were also presented and discussed in parallel sessions.
