IEA participates in Russia’s International Energy Week

IEA Executive Director Nobuo Tanaka travelled to Moscow to participate in Russia’s International Energy Week where he gave a presentation on a secure and sustainable energy future during the opening session.
Mr. Tanaka and Minister Sergei Shmatko renewed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Russian Ministry of Energy and the IEA, which was first signed in 2007.
While in Moscow, Mr. Tanaka also opened the Energy Efficiency and Clean Coal Technologies workshop which was co-hosted by the Ministry of Energy and the IEA.
