IEA Participates in World Policy Conference

Dr. Richard Bradley, head of the IEA Energy Efficiency and Environment division, participated in the second annual World Policy Conference was held in Marrakech, Morocco, from 30 October to 1 November.
The conference focussed on issues of economic, security and climate change governance in a changing world. Dr. Bradley’s presentation (see link) emphasised the importance of incentives for investment in cleaner technologies, increased R&D in energy technologies and greater international policy co-operation and co-ordination. More than 160 ministers, former ministers, parliamentians and senior executives from the private sector participated. Two former heads of state, Nambaryn Enkhbayer of Mongolia and Han Seung-Soo of South Korea, were speakers.
