IEA visits model energy efficient and renewable energy house

IEA Executive Director Nobuo Tanaka was invited to Brussels on 20 July to meet with H.R.H. Prince Laurent of Belgium and visit Renewable Energy House. Prince Laurent is President of the Royal Institute for the Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and the Promotion of Clean Technologies. This foundation owns Renewable Energy House - a showcase for energy efficiency and renewable energy. Mr Tanaka got down and dirty and looked through everything from the double glazing retrofits to the photovoltaic panels and visiting the basement to see the wood-chip boilers in operation.
