Inauguration of the International Nuclear Academy

On 3 April, IEA Executive Director Nobuo Tanaka visited Dijon to provide the "inaugural lesson" to the International Nuclear Academy, which will open its doors to students worldwide as of late 2009.
Mr. Tanaka presented on the global energy outlook, emphasising the important roles of nuclear and carbon capture and storage (CCS) with respect to energy security and climate change mitigation.
Those who attended the event included Jacques Bouchard, President of Generation IV and SFEN Bourgogne, and Mark Benner, Délégué Régional EDF, Vice-président du Pole Nucléaire de Bourgogne, both pictured here.
