IEA Welcomes Two New Directors
Mr. Benterbusch has been the Director of the Heiligendamm-Support Unit at the OECD where he acted as the key contact between G8 Sherpas and the G5 partner countries in the Heiligendamm Dialogue Process. In this role, he focused on the key challenges of the world economy including energy and, in particular, energy efficiency. Before coming to the OECD, Mr. Benterbusch was the Director of the G8-Sherpa Office and G8-Summit in Heiligendamm in the German Ministry of Economics and Technology. Mr. Diczfalusy spent much of his career in the Swedish government working on energy and climate change policy issues. Most recently, he served as Director-General for Energy and Head of the Energy Division of the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications. Mr. Diczfalusy has been the Swedish representative to the IEA Governing Board for the past six years.
