 On October 9 Mr. Ramsay participated in the 1st Interdisciplinary Symposium "Global Sustainability - A Nobel Cause" organised by the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany at Chancellor Merkel's request, in order to explore the challenges ahead and the possible solutions available to climate change. Other participants were Mrs Merkel, Prof Rajendra Pachauri, Sir Nicholas Stern and a number of Nobel laureates from all disciplines and other eminent personalities active in the global sustainability domain. Mr. Ramsay chaired the Session on Energy Security, which included four lectures by Nobel laureates. |
