The International Energy Forum Secretariat (IEFS) is an international and independent non-profit entity that structures and coordinates the activities of the IEF. It acts to maintain the informality of the dialogue and facilitates the channels of communication between oil and gas producers and consumers.
One of the missions of the IEF Secretariat is to improve oil data collection and dissemination among countries, international organizations and the industry. IEFS is coordinating the Joint Oil Data Initiative (JODI) with the support of partner organisations (APEC, Eurostat, IEA, OLADE, OPEC and UNSD). The objective of the Joint Oil Data Initiative (JODI), a high-level agreement, is to achieve a step change in provision of timely, high quality and transparent oil market data which is essential to the stability of oil markets.
