The term final consumption (equal to the sum of the consumption in the end-use sectors: industry, transport, residential, commercial/public services, agriculture/forestry, fishing and non specified) implies that energy used for transformation and for own use of the energy producing industries is excluded. Final consumption reflects for the most part deliveries to consumers. It includes consumption for both energy and non-energy purposes.
