Meeting of the IEA Energy Business Council – 21 March 2014

The eleventh meeting of the IEA Energy Business Council (EBC) was held on 21 March 2014 and gathered almost 50 high-level executives of the energy industry from 22 countries together with IEA Senior Officials. Following the introductory remarks of the IEA Executive Director, Ms. Maria van der Hoeven, the event, chaired by the EBC founder and IEA Chief Economist, Dr Fatih Birol, discussed the following topics:

- IEA views on recent energy market developments (including latest analysis on oil, gas and power markets)

- World Energy Outlook 2014 – plan of work: focus on WEO-2014 Investment Special Report;

- New Frontiers in Oil and Gas Industry

- Under-embargo preview of the IEA’s Energy Technology Perspectives 2014;

- The IEA Association initiative
