Background:
|
This seminar aims to provide input into the IEA’s recommendations to G8 leaders summit in Italy (July 2009) and Canada (June 2010), IEA’s Ministerial in October 2009, COP 15 Copenhagen in December 2009 and the Energy Technology Perspectives 2010 publication.
The main objectives of this workshop are:
1) to better understand the key financial, market and policy barriers of the financial sector in funding the energy technologies needed for deep cuts in CO2 emissions and
2) to collaborate with financial institutions and energy companies to develop policy recommendations on financing the energy technology transition for the G8 + 3 and the IEA Energy Ministerial. |
