The Expert Group and the IEA Secretariat convene this workshop to map global R&D efforts and identify current strategies to accelerate R&D in countries around the world. The workshop will complement the Group’s June 2008 workshops on enhancing R&D through roadmapping and the November 2008 workshop on enhancing technology development through international technology collaboration. At the workshop national experts presented current R&D portfolios and strategies in IEA countries.
