| Description | Amending previous iterations of the Energy Act (1994 and 1999), the 2001 provisions set out conditions for business activities and state administration and regulations in energy subsectors, such as electricity, gas and heat, as well as the rights and obligations of individuals. It defines a framework for the liberalisation of the electricity and gas markets. The Energy Act also includes the creation of the Energy Regulation Office. |
