|Description||The Remote Indigenous energy program aims to help Indigenous communities access affordable and reliable 24-hour power supplies, contributing to an improvement in health, education and long-term economic capabilities.
This AUD40 million program will provide funding to install renewable energy generation systems in approximately 50 remote indigenous communities over the life of the program. Training in basic system maintenance and the provision of information for energy efficient practices to encourage ongoing energy management will also be included.
