| Description | The 2006 Renewable Energy law introduced a CNY 0.25/kWh, equivalent to USD 3.7 cents/kWh, feed-in premium for biomass generated electricity. This capital premium is added to province-specific prices of coal-generated power, and is applicable over a fifteen year period. In 2010, the National Development and Reform Commission announced a new national feed-in tariff for biomass power of CNY 0.75/kWh, equivalent to USD 0.11/kWh. Moreover, the Chinese government published a biomass installed capacity target of 30 GW by 2020. |
