| Description | The Second Czech National Programme for energy management and the use of renewable sources of energy, following from the previous National Programme elaborated for the 2002-2005 period, is a strategic framework document elaborated and updated once every four years. Funding for the programme has been increased compared to the previous period, and the Programme will make increased use of EU level programmes. For the 2006 - 2009 period, the National Programme sets a target of achieving: energy efficiency improvements of 2.6% per year and energy savings of approximately 11 PJ per year; Meeting targets set for the use of renewable sources of energy and biofuels in transport. The Programme is implemented across 11 sectors, including public sector, business, NGOs, and residential. |
