| Description | Industry and the Australian government partnered to develop the Renewable Energy Action Agenda (REAA), launched in 2000. The REAA Vision was "to achieve a sustainable and internationally competitive renewable energy industry which has annual sales of AUD 4 billion by 2010". Between 2000 and 2004, the government worked with the renewable energy industry to implement action agenda initiatives to increase community commitment to renewable energy, encourage exports, improve the reliability and quality of renewable energy products and services, develop a renewable transport fuels industry, ensure that skilled people were available to support industry growth, and encourage a culture of market-driven innovation. |
