Beyond the OECD - Bahrain

The boundaries and names shown and the designations used on maps do not imply official endorsement or acceptance by the IEA.

Bahrain has a small hydrocarbons production capacity, much of which is derived from the joint Abu Safa field with Saudi Arabia. However, the country has forged a path for itself in value-added activities including refining. Here it processes its own crude and some from fields in neighbouring Saudi Arabia for export overseas.
